Repeat Yourself. Just Not Like That.
Matt Damon says Netflix asks writers to restate the plot three or four times because viewers are on their phones. Netflix denies it. Both sides are arguing about the wrong thing: every good screenplay repeats itself far more than that, and the difference is whether each repetition costs somebody something.
